Walked out of the bedroom this morning just as some sort of lizard ran across the pool; the owner of the house told us “Jesus lizards” like to run across the pool and I guess that was it (not sure what they’re really called)
A Toucan visited the tree above the house while I was having morning coffee
Cataratas Nauyaca are TOTALLY worth the semi scary drive (first was about 10 km up the road to San Isidro de Pérez Zeledón from Dominical, then crazy steep rock road down to the parking lot), the longish hike and the US$8 per head to access the falls; this was one of the best activities we did all week and great exercise to boot; came back a sweaty mess though as hiking in 85°F / 100% humidity weather is a bit of work; see also: Two Weeks in Costa Rica – Visiting the Beautiful Nauyaca Waterfalls
